Family Sessions
The photos you'll reach for ten years from now aren't going to be the ones where everyone was looking at the camera.
They're going to be the ones where something real happened. A kid mid-laugh. Someone looking at someone else instead of the lens. The way your family actually moves through the world together.
That's what I'm here to capture.
I'm Sergio, a Los Angeles family photographer with over 15 years of experience shooting families across Southern California. My approach is lifestyle-first — which means I'm not going to spend your session posing you. I'm going to prompt you to be with each other, and I'm going to be ready when the real moments happen.
I shoot in some of LA's most beautiful outdoor locations: Pasadena City Hall, the Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles, Claremont College, and custom locations based on what feels right for your family.
Every family I photograph is different. The session should feel that way too.

FAQ
How much does a family photographer in Los Angeles cost?
My family sessions start at $240 for a mini session (15-20 minutes). The full gallery is delivered so you can browse all images, with 20 downloads included. Unlock all downloads for an additional $100. The 1-hour portrait session is $450 and includes full gallery access with unlimited downloads.
What's the difference between a mini session and a full portrait session?
A mini session is 15-20 minutes at one of my preset locations — great for families who want updated photos without a big time commitment. A full portrait session is a full hour, built around your family specifically. We choose the location together, and you get more time for the real moments to surface, which means more images to choose from.
Where do you do family sessions in Los Angeles?
I shoot at handpicked outdoor locations across LA including Pasadena City Hall, Claremont College, the Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles, and custom locations for full portrait session clients. Mini sessions are held at specific locations on specific dates — see the dates section above.
Do you do holiday or Christmas mini sessions in Los Angeles?
Yes. I offer holiday mini sessions every fall and winter at locations including Pasadena City Hall. Christmas tree photos are available at Pasadena City Hall after December 5. See available dates at the booking link below.
How many photos will we receive?
For mini sessions, I deliver your full gallery so you can see every image from the shoot. 20 downloads are included. If you want to download everything, you can unlock the full gallery for $100. The 1-hour portrait session includes full gallery access with unlimited downloads.
How long until we receive our photos?
Galleries are delivered within 1-2 weeks of your session.
What should we wear for family photos in Los Angeles?
I recommend coordinating rather than matching — choose a color palette and let each person express their own style within it. Avoid large logos or busy patterns. Neutral tones, earthy colors, and classic wardrobe choices tend to photograph beautifully at my outdoor locations in Pasadena and across LA. Once you book, I'm happy to give specific guidance based on your location and session vibe.
How far in advance should I book?
Mini sessions book quickly — especially fall and holiday dates. I recommend booking at least 3-5 weeks out to get your preferred date and location. Full portrait sessions have more flexibility but tend to book 4-6 weeks in advance for weekend slots.
Do you photograph families with young children or babies?
Yes. I've been photographing families with kids of all ages for over 15 years. My approach is simple: I don't care if your child looks at my camera. I care that they look at you. The best photos of kids are never the posed ones anyway.
How do I book a family photo session with you?
Use the booking button for mini sessions, or the inquiry form for a full portrait session. I'll respond within 24-48 hours to confirm your date, discuss locations, and answer any questions.
